Writing Macros?

Trying to write my first macro. Just a simple alcove lighting affair.
Not sure what Im supposed to do at this point.
I want to write the macro commands in but it just gives me this list of predetermined commands.
What do I need to do so I can write the commands in by hand?

Ex macros aren't like zdoom scripting, if that's what you're thinking of. You add the commands you want one by one instead of typing them in.

The only thing you have to type is the integer value (tag number, duration, etc) for the command, if it needs one.

I thought Id be able to copy and paste the macros directly over instead of having to search through the list for the correct one.
It wont let me manually type anything into that box so I cant even type in an integer value after choosing a action from the list ???

To do that you click on the action after it's been added to the batch. Then you can type the number you want between Apply Tag and New Tag at the bottom.

Although, it would be nice to be able to copy macros.
